Excalibur Climbing Lounge is more than just a gym – we’re a thriving community where climbers of all levels come together to learn, grow, and push their limits. Training is provided for all positions. We're searching for enthusiastic individuals to join our team in three key areas:
1. Administrative Assistants and Front Desk Receptionists:
Be the Face of Excalibur! Administrative Assistants and Front Desk Receptionists play a vital role in ensuring every climber feels welcome and has an amazing experience at Excalibur. Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming climbers and guests with a smile.
Providing excellent customer service and answering questions.
Managing front desk operations, including check-ins, memberships, and sales.
Maintaining a clean and safe environment throughout the gym.
Sharing your knowledge of climbing and promoting a positive community atmosphere.
Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
A genuine passion for climbing and a desire to connect with others.
Prior customer service experience is a plus.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to navigate an online client management system - training provided.
2. Climbing Instructors:
Empower Your Students' Climbing Journey!
Excalibur's climbing instructors are passionate educators dedicated to fostering a safe, encouraging, and enriching environment for climbers of all skill levels. You'll be responsible for:
Leading climbing classes and workshops for beginners, intermediate, and advanced climbers.
Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that promote proper technique and safety.
Providing personalized feedback and guidance to help students achieve their climbing goals.
Engaging with the community to promote climbing and related activities.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in climbing instruction with a deep understanding of climbing techniques and safety principles.
Strong communication and motivational skills that inspire confidence in students.
Climbing instruction certification is preferred.
Dedication to creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
3. Route Setters:
Design the Challenge!
Our route setters are the creative minds behind Excalibur's exciting and diverse climbing routes. You'll play a crucial role in keeping our climbers engaged and challenged:
Design and set captivating climbing routes and problems for all skill levels.
Collaborate with the route setting team to ensure a variety of climbing styles and difficulty.
Maintain and refresh routes regularly, prioritizing safety and quality.
Gather climber feedback to continuously improve route design and difficulty.
Qualifications:
Route setting experience with a creative mind and a knack for problem-solving.
In-depth knowledge of climbing movements, techniques, and route setting principles.
Ability to work comfortably at heights and perform physical tasks related to route setting.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
